It works. USB3 for sure. Max read speed was around 400MB/s, but thats also the limit of my USB device I plugged in it, so it’s possibly even faster. There’s some light leakage tho. Latching switches, not digitally controlled. Great stuff for the money.

I really like it. They weren’t kidding about “long cable” in the title, this is plenty long. It also is true USB 3.0. I plugged in every USB 3 device I had and they all showed up as being connected to a USB 3 port. In that aspect, I can fully stand by their description of being a USB 3 hub. With this many ports, an external supply may be needed. 5V 2A should be plenty considering that the computer will provide at least 500mA. If you have it plugged into a docking station with a charger running through it, that may be able to supply a little more power to the point where you may not need an external supply. However, for powering stuff like external hard drives, an external supply is still needed.
