Product Features
1. Grooving cut-off tool is made of 40Cr material, which has been hardened and matched with our upgraded wear-resistant grooving blade.
2. Heat treatment technology makes the metal freely deform in all directions between the upper and lower anvil surfaces, eliminates shrinkage holes, shrinkage porosity, pores and other defects, so that the tool blank has higher mechanical properties.
3. After the chip breaker is deformed by the iron chips, it is not easy to be stuck, which makes cutting smooth and greatly improves work efficiency.

Grooving Cut-off Tools' Center Height Control
• No matter what kind of grooving cutting-off tool you choose, only by ensuring that the insert and the centerline of the workpiece are installed at 90°, can you obtain an ideal machining surface and reduce vibration during machining.
• The tolerance of the blade edge and the height of the workpiece center should be kept ±0.1mm, especially the cutting of rods and the grooving of small-diameter workpieces, in order to improve tool life, reduce cutting resistance and reduce burrs.
Cut off
• When the insert is close to the center of the workpiece, the feed rate should be reduced by 30% to improve tool life and surface quality.
• If possible, please reduce the overhang as much as possible to ensure stability.
External Grooving and Turning, Copying Turning
• When cutting the bottom diameter or chamfering (finishing), the operation sequence shown in the figure can be used to reduce the small vibration caused by the friction between the tool and the chip.

• Finishing (Multi-Grooving)
Cutting inward from the maximum diameter, the insert is slightly offset to the inner edge when retracting, as shown in the figure (1)
• Groove Cutting
Axial turning depth does not exceed 0.75 × insert edge width.
If the groove width is greater than the groove depth, it is recommended to use groove cutting, as shown in the figure (2)
If the groove depth is greater than the groove width, then multi-groove cutting is recommended.
• Finishing
First finish the bottom and outer diameter edge, and then finish the inner diameter to the required size, as shown in the figure. (3)
